KJBLS serves as a vibrant platform for researchers, clinicians, and health professionals dedicated to advancing the understanding of living systems and translating biological discoveries into improvements in human health and well-being.
Aims and Scope
KJBLS welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications spanning all areas of the biological and life sciences. Subject areas include molecular and cellular biology, genetics and genomics, microbiology and virology, immunology and infectious diseases, biotechnology and genetic engineering, bioinformatics and computational biology, biochemistry and structural biology, physiology and anatomy, pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, drug discovery and development, clinical and translational research, public health and epidemiology, global health and health systems, nutrition and food science, environmental health and toxicology, neuroscience and cognitive biology, reproductive and developmental biology, plant biology and agricultural biotechnology, and interdisciplinary biomedical research at the interface of biology, medicine, engineering, and data science. The journal is particularly interested in research that advances the understanding of biological processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, and population levels, and in studies that translate fundamental discoveries into clinical, pharmaceutical, or public health applications. Research addressing emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, precision medicine, health equity, and biotechnological innovations for sustainable development is especially encouraged. Both fundamental biological investigations and applied studies with clear relevance to human health, agriculture, and environmental sustainability are within scope.
